When disability and abuse intersect, we take action.

Project Archives
(2000 - 2005)

The Disability and Abuse Project was created by Dr. Nora J. Baladerian in 1994.  It was originally operated as a function of Spectrum Institute.  Then, for several years (2000-2005) the administration of the Project was handled by The Arc of Riverside.  Jim Stream, the Executive Director of The Arc of Riverside, managed the financial aspects of the Project during those years.

A website was created for the project by Tom Hanna, Executive Vice President of Lifenet, around 2000.  Tom added materials to the website and updated it as needed from 2000 to 2005.    Although Dr. Baladerian continued activities on behalf of the Project after 2005, the website remained static after that date.

The Project returned to Spectrum Institute in 2011.  Thomas F. Coleman created a new website (this one) for the Project.  However, since the old website contained many valuable materials, we decided to give people access to it, exactly as it existed from 2000 to 2005.  We are making that website, and the materials found on it, available as part of the Archives of the Disability and Abuse Project.
